Genton welcomes student and graduate applications

Genton is welcoming applications from students and graduates of architecture and interior design to join our growing team across Melbourne and Sydney.

“At Genton, we see the value in commencing students’ training in their formative years — an ongoing training that continues well after graduation. We’ve taken on a number of students who have progressed into senior and leadership roles, and we’re fortunate to have a high level of staff retention,” says Genton Principal Steven Toia.

“Our students’ university studies are enriched by the mentoring and experienced guidance they receive and, in turn, we believe our projects are enriched by new emerging ideas and concepts the students bring to the practice.”

Genton is currently seeking creative, inspired and driven students with excellent graphics and communication abilities. As a Genton student or graduate, you will gain practical experience across a variety of sectors, including rail, technical, education, multi-residential, commercial, masterplanning and feasibility.

Based on your areas of interest, students are allocated a Genton mentor who will provide direction to refine your skills, develop the quality of your ideas and facilitate your engagement with all aspects of architectural practice. In addition, students and graduates can finesse their presentations skills, with opportunities to present to internal and external design review panels, which may be comprised of clients, consultants, external peers and/or government representatives.

Following graduation, Genton provides mentoring to our graduates seeking to achieve architectural registration, having supported many within our current team through the process.

We employ a number of students in our Melbourne and Sydney offices from a range of universities, working in a part-time capacity during the semester with the option of full-time work during university holidays. We understand that end-of-semester pressure is particularly significant for architecture and design students, and flexible arrangements can be made during these times.

Genton is committed to ensuring the entire team has equal access to opportunities that are available in the company, creating an equitable, respectful and enabling environment, and supporting gender equality in our workplace. We take pride in the diversity of our team.

If you are a student or graduate who strives for excellence and would like to join the Genton team, please send your CV and portfolio (maximum 10MB) to careers@genton.com.au.
